Immigration interview

I interviewed my spanish teacher: Nelly Greig because I don't really know anyone that immigrated to the US She was Born in Lima, Peru and moved here when she was 19 in 1991.
In peru she spoke spanish and only her and her brothers came to america and her parents stayed in Peru. I can't imagine going to a new country with a totally new culture and having no clue what it would be like their and only going with your brothers.
She thought life in the US would give her more opportunities. Which I think the US does give people more opportunities with jobs and freedom. When she got here she lived in Miami at first and had a lot of friends who were from all different countries as well.
When she came to the US she already knew english which is really good because you can't do a lot in America if you can't speak english. When she came to the US she liked it here and thought that to be an american means to have justice and freedom. She also thought that the US should make the laws for immigration more easy-going than they are especially for people from mexico trying to get into the US
